who are we looking for in a franchisee?

An apple seeds franchise applicant should love kids (and their adults) and have a passion for bringing them quality programming.  

A business background, entrepreneurial drive and a commitment to success are also needed.  You will be joining a team of business owners that are all working toward a common goal – to grow apple seeds domestically and internationally.  That does not mean you need past experience running a children’s facility.  The four founders of apple seeds come from various professional fields.  Although none of us had created an indoor play space or music program in the past, our skills from our years spent on Wall Street, in advertising, in sports and child development, in television and in teaching were all transferable (we admit that we learned a lot from raising kids as well).  In fact, our diverse backgrounds enabled us to create the exact type of indoor play facility, corporate environment and programs that we had been searching for as parents and business owners. 

Management skills and experience, as well as a passion for customer service (i.e. the kids and the adults who take care of them) are a must in owning an apple seeds franchise.

 

do I need a degree in early education to own an apple seeds franchise?

It is great if you went to school for early education but it is certainly not necessary, nor will it make you a qualified and successful apple seeds franchisee.  The skills needed are a passion for kids and the desire to own your own business. 

When you become an apple seeds franchisee you are given all the tools (curriculum, training, policies and procedures and a very accessible parent company) to open and run a successful children’s business.  We make sure we are on the same page in terms of philosophy and programming. Our in-depth training program takes you through all the details of running an apple seeds facility as well as fully immerses you in the actual minutiae of the classes you will be offering.  You will leave training extremely confident about opening your new business.  apple seeds provides ongoing training for new franchisees and refresher courses for veterans.

 

what is the size of an apple seeds franchise facility?

The recommended size of an apple seeds franchise facility is between 2500 and 4000 square feet incorporating 2 classrooms, the indoor playground, reception, office and common areas.  We will review site proposals and will approve, reject or provide comments to you regarding each proposal.

 

will I receive an exclusive territory?

Yes, you will receive an exclusive geographic territory for as long as you are a franchisee.

 

can I open more than one location?

Yes. 

Ideally we want to expand apple seeds with established partners. If everything is going well with location #1, we would love for you to open a second location and will work with you to expand your business.
